HAPPENING: Bomb Threat at Palm Bay City Hall Prompts Emergency Evacuations

- A 911 call to the Palm Bay police department on Monday claimed someone placed a bomb inside Palm Bay City Hall
- Police evacuated city hall and blocked off roads as a precaution
- Authorities and the bomb squad are on scene investigating
Authorities are currently investigating a bomb threat in Palm Bay.
The 911 communications center received the threat Monday afternoon from a man claiming to have placed a bomb inside city hall, located on 130 Malabar Road in Palm Bay.
Police and bomb squad crews arrived shortly to investigate after the call came in. Authorities have evacuated all of city hall, the police department and the communications center as a precaution.
At 4:45pm, authorities say the communications center has been swept and communications have returned to normal operations.
Public safety authorities still have the entire area blocked off to the public and to expect delays and road closures. Investigators have not named a suspect and no motives are available at this time.
