The Pelican Island Bridge is completely shut down today after a barge struck a bridge causing the bridge to collapse this morning.  There were no injuries reported and it is unclear as to the incident happened.  Local news reports say this is the only bridge that connects the mainland to the island.  Classes at A&M were canceled for the day. 

Police, rescue crews and the FBI are on scene and investigating. There is no word about terrorism or any type of "false flag attack".
