Arrest Made in Deadly Bus Crash in FL

BREAKING: FHP Troopers Make Arrest in Deadly Migrant Workers Bus Crash from This Morning

DUNNELLON, Fla -- The Florida Highway Patrol just announced the arrest of the pickup-truck driver who side-swiped a loaded bus packed with migrant workers on their way to work to harvest Watermelons earlier today.  The bus ran off the road and flipped over on its side.  Eight people died and 40 more were hospitalized.

Bryan Maclean Howard was arrested at 1:47pm today and was charged with 8 counts of Vehicular Manslaughter and DUI.

FHP Lt. Patrick Riordan said, "it appears the truck traveled toward the center line and the two vehicles sideswiped, causing the bus to swerve off State Road 40, which is a straight but somewhat hilly two-lane road that passes through horse farms. The bus crashed through a fence, struck a tree and rolled over in a field."

It is not immediately known if Howard has an attorney.  He faces a judge at first appearance in the morning.
