MANHATTEN, NY--

  • Disgraced rap star and music mogul, Sean "P Diddy" Combs sentenced to 50 months in federal prison.
  • $500,000 fine also imposed after being found guilty by a jury for for prostitution charges.
  • Combs was found not guilty of the more serious of charges.

Renowned music mogul P Diddy has been sentenced to 50 months in prison for his involvement in serious legal issues that have captivated fans and the media alike. The verdict was handed down by Federal District Court Judge Arun Subramanian during a high-profile court session today that rocked the courtroom.

Along with the prison term, the court also imposed a hefty fine of $500,000, adding financial strain to the already tumultuous situation. An order of asset forfeiture was also signed.

"These actions highlights the severity of the charges against him and serves as a stark reminder that even high-profile celebrities are not above the law", a Blake Moia Show Legal expert told us.

In a last-ditch effort to sway the judge, Diddy penned a heartfelt letter begging for mercy just last night. In his emotional appeal, he expressed remorse for his actions and reflected on the impact of the case on his family and fans. His plea aimed to underscore his desire for rehabilitation rather than punishment, seeking a chance to make amends.

Today in court, advocates for Combs claimed that he was a "family man." Combs himself described the harsh conditions at the federal facility where he is housed.

Combs claimed he has to "boil the water everyday" that he is "cramped and locked in a room with 25 other people".

Prosecutors disagreed. They argued for "sentencing guidelines" of 70 months in prison.

Ultimately, the judge said, "a significant sentence is required to deter others from doing this again."

Combs was handcuffed and shackled at the ankles and was taken away to an awaiting cell. It is unclear right now where Combs will be housed. A hearing is set for next week.
