LOS ANGELES, CA --
Local, State and Federal officials are responding to a devastating and deadly wildfire that started in California yesterday, prompting hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate their homes.
Multi-millon dollar houses have been destroyed, residents displaced, and fatalities have been reported so far.
100 MPH hurricane force-winds have been reported that is associated with the fires - which serves as fuel for the on-going fires which is listed as 0% contained.
The start of the fire remains under investigation however there was a high-pressure gradient between two weather systems which caused high winds in the area, known as the Santa Ana Winds. Combined with low humidity and possibly a downed power lines -- or something more sinister -- sparked the on-going crises.
11,800 acres have been torched so far, according to authorities.
Water has run out and officials say they had 3, 1-million-gallon water tanks which has run dry by 4am this morning.
The Blake Moia Show Future Cast shows winds will not let up until at least Friday afternoon, which means this situation is far from over.
Most folks who have lost their homes say that they do not have insurance as the California insurance crises caused insurance companies to flee the high-risk fire state.
