Melbourne Pawn Shope Broken into During Late Night Hours; Police Continue to Investigate

- The perp is described as a tall and thin male wearing a black hoodie

11:06pm 04/12/2025 -- Melbourne Police respond to the Paradise Pawn & Jewlery after an alarm call
A pawn shop in Melbourne sustained damage over the weekend after an intruder broke thru the front door of the business.
Police responded to an alarm call at the business, located on North Wickham Road, near Fountainhead neighborhood around 11pm on Saturday night.
When police arrived, they reported the front door had been shattered with force entry and the alarm was going off. A perimeter was set up in attempt to find and catch the suspect.
After searching the premises with the help of a K-9 police dog, authorities could not locate the unknown suspect.
Police reviewed camera video of the incident and describe the suspect as "tall and skinny" of an unknown race.
The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and all black clothing. It is unknown if the suspect managed to steal any inventory.
