Yamani Serrano of Titusville
Police arrested Yamani Serrano of Titusville on Friday for charges of sexual battery of a person under 18, witness tampering and theft.
Yamani was appointed the public defender and awaits at the Brevard County Jail for trial. His next court date is June 24.
David Jerald Miller of Ixora Park - Charged with rape of a disabled person.
Melbourne police detectives arrested Ixora Park resident David Jerald Miller at his house on Buick Avenue after a DCF complaint came in to police.
According to a criminal complaint, a DCF worker was notified about sexual abuse of a person who has Down Syndrome, and requested a joint investigation with the Melbourne Police Department.
The complaint says the crime was captured on an Amazon Blink camera where it shows Miller completely naked in a bathroom and sits the victim down on the toilet. Miller then inserts his penis into the victim's mouth, the undated video allegedly depicts.
The criminal complaint affidavit says Miller's face can be seem in the mirror on camera.
When pressed by detectives, Miller denied the allegations and told investigators that the video was "fake" and alleged that the victim "loves to manipulate shit".
Amazon responded to authorities' subpoena regarding the incident and said that Miller's Amazon account was deleted. Therefore, the suspect's account and files could not be retrieved.
Miller's phone was also seized by detectives and a copy of the crime was retrieved from the phone. The investigation uncovered that a copy of the sexually explicit video was sent to several other people, according to the affidavit.
A witness described to detectives, in detail, about other abuses from Miller toward the victim, who is non-verbal, including throwing her to the ground and yelling at her and kicking her.
Miller was ultimately arrested at his home on Buick Ave. at 2pm on Friday and booked into jail.
According to authorities, Miller was previously arrested for making death threats to law enforcement, domestic violence, DUI, resisting arrest, failure to appear, and drug paraphernalia. He awaits trial as he denies the charges.
