Venezuelan Gangbangers Arrested After Illegally Smuggling Humans Days After ICE Releases Them
Eagle Pass, Texas -- Aug 09, 2024 -- The Blake Moia Show
A known gangbanger from Venezuela was arrested for smuggling illegal aliens into Texas just days after he was released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following another smuggling bust, authorities say.
On Tuesday, the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) announced the apprehension of 24-year-old Maikel Diaz-Guerra, a confirmed Tren de Aragua gang member whose immigration status is unclear.
Serving as a "Lookout"
Diaz-Guerra was “serving as the lookout” for Gildardo Perez, 17, when a vehicle in which they were traveling was stopped in El Paso, TxDPS says.
Three illegal aliens were found concealed in the rear seat of the car.
Troopers discovered Diaz-Guerra was wearing an ICE monitoring device described as a “Tracking Watch", authorites said.
Diaz-Guerra and Perez were both arrested and charged with smuggling of persons.

More Arrests Made
On the same day, TxDPS announced the arrest of another known gangbanger during a smuggling bust in Sullivan City, TX.
Jesus Alejandro, 40, is reportedly a Paisas gang member and citizen of Mexico.
Alejandro was illegally present in the U.S. when he was caught guiding a group of illegals across the Rio Grande to a vehicle where two teens, ages 16 and 17, were waiting to transport them further into the interior, TxDPS said.
All three male suspects were arrested for human smuggling and four illegal aliens were turned over to Border Patrol.
