PALM BAY, Fla -- An explosion happened at a home off of Baily Terrace in Palm Bay. 

911 calls were received around 10:30am.  When firefighters arrived, they reported hearing several small explosions from inside the inferno. 

A spokesperson with the Brevard County Fire Rescue said at a press conference that the explosions could have been ammo, propane tanks, flammable liquids or even a combination of chemicals.

"Because of the nature of the damage, the behavior of the fire, and the previous calls regarding drugs inside the house from police, we are acting as if this is presumably a drug house", the spokesperson said. 

Police have been called to this residence several times regarding drugs and other activities.

Investigators are trying to determine the actual cause of the fire.  They said it will be quite some time before their investigation is complete.
