New Details Emerge From Murphy Gas Station Traffic Stop on Sarno Rd; 2 Arrested
EAU GALLIE, Fla
A mother and son duo were arrested at the Murphy Gas station, as originally reported a few days ago on the Blake Moia Show.
Newly released court documents say the pair were stopped at the gas station at the corner of Sarno and Wickham Rd for having a dark window tint. Deputy Tufano requested all the legal documents, at which the driver could not find. The other deputy measured the window tint at being #19 which violates state law.
A K-9 dog was dispatched to the scene to conduct an "open air sniff" of the vehicle. Deputies discovered several contraband items including:
30.3 grams of Fentanyl
64.5 grams of Meth
6 purple Morphine tablets
6 Adderall pills
1 Alprazolam
1 Buprenorphine Hydrochloride pill
Several plastic baggies with residue
A Fruitloops box containing several hypodermic needles
And several burnt spoons, tin foils, various plastic baggies with a green leafy substance.
Deputies read 48-year-old Jeannie Welcom, who is described as "homeless" from Lake Worth Florida, her Miranda rights. She stated that her son, 27-year-old Robert Welcom, did not know anything about what was inside the vehicle. She was able to describe everything in the car, including the weights of all the narcotics.
Ms. Welcom was charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Meth, Drug Paraphernalia Possession and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Her bond was set at $60,500 dollars.
The son was arrested and charged for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Contraband. His bond was set at $2,500
