Melbourne Police Take Down Drug Trafficker
MELBOURNE, Fl

Melbourne police announced today they arrested and took another drug trafficker off our streets.
According to the news release , detectives with the criminal investigations service along with a SWAT team conducted a raid at a residence on 1904 Glendon Drive in the south end of the city




The search warrant came from an on-going active investigation into drug sales and concerned citizens and neighbors alike calling in complaints about the suspected drug house.
When officers arrived to serve the search warrant, the suspect, 24-year-old D'Jae Carpenter ran out the back door in an attempt to escape.
Officers say they recovered drugs and contraband.
18.2 Grams Methamphetamine
2.4 Grams of Fentanyl
.7 Grams MDMA and drug pipes were recovered, according to authorities.

D'Jae Carpenter is being held in jail on a 40,000$ for Trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl with intent to sell, manufacture, deliver. Possession of MDMA and possession of drug paraphernalia.
