POLICE: Indianhead Neighborhood Blocked Off

Police in Melbourne have blocked off an entire neighborhood and the surrounding streets tonight in the Indianhead neighborhood due to a home invasion in progress.
At roughly 9:10pm tonight, police received 911 calls from neighbors about a group of juveniles running through back yards and breaking into a vacant residence off Algonquin Drive in the Indianhead neighborhood.
Reports say the homeowner was on vacation at the time of the break in.
Police units and a small SWAT Team quickly arrived on scene and blocked off the neighborhood and several streets:
- Iroquois Ave. at Sarno Rd.
- Algonquin Dr.
- Hopi Dr.
- Chickasaw Ave.
Police are urging local residents to stay inside their homes.

At roughly 9:20 PM, police surrounded the residence with guns drawn and ordered the suspects out of the house via PA announcements.

9:30pm -- Police announced they have 2 juveniles in custody. There are no other threats to the public at this time. Authorities are not releasing the names of the suspects due to their ages.
