NEW YORK, New York -- A new poll released today shows President's approval numbers slipping away as former president Trump's is gaining popularity despite being on trial. 

The poll says if Trump were to be convicted on the charges, 21% said they would be less likely to vote for him, 62% said it would not affect their vote and 15% said they would be more likely to vote for him.

Trump has maintained that the trial and all the charges are a witch hunt against him and is unfairly being prosecuted.
